Oro — Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Oro ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

Oro is a personal finance companion that helps you track spending, set budgets, and understand your financial habits. The app is provided "as is" for personal, non-commercial use.

3. Account Registration

To use Oro's full features, you must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

4. Subscriptions & In-App Purchases

Oro offers an optional paid subscription plan (Pro) through the Apple App Store as an auto-renewable subscription.

Payment: Subscription fees are charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
Cancellation: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings or the App Store.
Price changes: Subscription prices may change. You will be notified in advance, and any price increase will not apply until your next renewal after notice.
Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their App Store refund policies.

Free features remain available without a subscription.

5. User Data & Privacy

Your use of Oro is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the app, you consent to the data practices described therein.

Key points:

Financial data is stored locally on your device by default.
Cloud sync (when enabled) stores data on secure servers.
We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the app for any unlawful purpose.
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app.
Interfere with or disrupt the app's services or servers.
Use the app to transmit malicious software.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and code in Oro are owned by the Oro team or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the app without prior written consent.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Oro is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components.

Oro is not a financial advisor. The app provides tools for personal expense tracking and budgeting. It does not provide financial advice, investment recommendations, or tax guidance. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Oro team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or financial losses arising from your use of the app.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the app at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately.

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time via Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
